I'm an adult student. i'm 24 and am about to recieve my associates degree and want to pursue a bachelors. when i first went to college i didn't care about school at all and received horrible grades. my gpa was 1.3 at one point. i left school and entered the real world and got a car salesman job. did that for 3 years and went back to school. since i went bakc i've taken college a little more seriously and am getting my degree with a 2.3 gpa. i've done well (b's and c's) but my past has haunted my gpa of today. do i have a chance at getting into a 4 year with a past like this? the school i want to go to has a minimum requirement of 2.0 gpa to get in. i want to go to one of their satellite campus's as well, not their main one and i would be commuting and not taking up any of their residence space. i feel i can bring alot to the table of their community with my life experience and i think that my transcript shows that i'm not the same student i was when i was 17. do you think i have a shot at getting in? the college is university of central florida and i want to go to their cocoa campus if that matters. i just hope my mistakes of my past will not limit my future . . .
