<p>yea, basically language courses, although, from what i read, there are “heritage courses” that are inversions of ordinary language courses for languages like arabic, tagalog, and persian</p>

The pro of taking a heritage course is that you only need to take it once to satisfy a language requirement. Whereas for language courses, you have to pass 4 quarters.</p>
