For our Hesburgh Yusko Scholars application, are our counselors and recommenders notified automatically by the university regarding whether the applicant is a semi-finalist or not?

S also received the “not moving on” email (applied because the admissions committee requested it.) Had very good stats, ECs, leadership etc. Probably not enough church-focused service for this program. I’m sure it will be an impressive group of young people who move on, and ultimately claim these scholarships.
Still hoping he’s a contender for another merit scholarship, as Notre Dame is a stellar institution and it would be great if he could claim his acceptance to the school.
Has anyone been notified about Finalists?
I haven’t heard yet. I believe they said that we find out on February 18th.
