Hey Anyone From SoCal going to YALE?

Hey, OC guy going to Yale in the Fall. I just joined this site. I was wondering if there was anyone from the SoCal area that has made their final decision to go to Yale?

It'd be nice to get to know a few of you before September Thanks!

My AOL SN is munchkyn464

Jonathan

i'm not going, but my friend is. From San Diego. bright, cool athletic guy.
doesn't help much, though does it?

I live in Brea. That's North Orange County. Perhaps you know of it?

Heh, yeah, doesn't really help much but maybe we can talk sometime

Yea, I know where Brea is
Cool. It would be cool to kinda know a few people when we arrive at Yale.

I live in Los Angeles (about two miles away from UCLA). And I agree, it would be nice to knwo some people.

You guys should attend one of the local alumni events that you will be invited to - they usually happen during the summer. The alum associations receive lists of students in the area who will be attending, and you'll hear from them. With luck, the timing of the event won't conflict with other summer plans, as it did for us.

You also should consider doing one of the Freshman Outdoor Orientation Trips that are offered -you'll be getting info about that as well. About a third of the incoming class participates in these trips which go from 4 to 6 days. You can choose which one to sign up for, and for how long. Even if you've never been backpacking before, they're a lot of fun, and they take your experience level into account when putting the groups together. You will come back from these with a bunch of good friends to start out the year.

I am, and I'm from Irvine.

I'm going to Yale next year. I sent in my forms last weekend. Just to make sure, they don't require a deposit, right?

Send me an email: kleinej@gmail.com

You can see on your personal admitted students website the location of admitted students across the US. I saw that there are two in the Newport/Costa Mesa area.

axum147, you're correct - Yale does not require a deposit with the reply card. Otherwise, we would all be in trouble. :)

Thanks for reassuring me. I should have checked before I sent the forms in. By the way, I'm from Agoura Hills (between Calabasas and Thousand Oaks). Maybe we'll be on some of the same flights to New Haven!

i'm from riverside county, city of temecula
