any one get their decesion online pin yet…? and what does the letter of decision online say lol…like wen you get accepted denied or deffered for those that applied allready

look at the other thread. just chill man, you'll get your stuff soon.

I'm assuming an acceptance letter will began with a Congratations, maybe in all caps. They'll say that your official acceptance letter (in addition to the one online) will be mailed to you with all additional information and financial aid packages.

A deferral letter will probably say, "After careful consideration...the committee of admissions has decided to defer the final decision to the regular applicant pool..."

I'm sure that a rejection letter will say, "the committee has completed its evaluation for 3,000 ED candidates and has unfortunately voted to deny your application for admission...we're very sorry."

again, this is just a guestimate. I'm mooching off of what other CCers have posted in their official decisions threads

i haven't received anything

lol the rejection letter always has something along the lines of "we regret to inform you...." and that we had " a large pool of very strong applicants this year" etc

just look for a "we are pleased to inform you"

:" a large pool of very strong applicants this year":

lol almost every rejection letter has hate this line. it basically says yea we got tons of good people and you rn't good enough. we don't needa ya, better luck somewhere else! haha!

lol see? im not the only one - rejection letters are always LAUGHING at you =(

regret, my foot! they dont regret anything!

When you look online, the word congratulations is in a bigger font then the rest of the words, so you see it right away.

thanks crashin... thats what I wanted to know... its gonna be sooo scary!!! Waitin suckss ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I gave Penn a call today, and the person answering said Penn doesn't send any card saying you sent in all the stuff. On the other hand I have heard conflicting accounts here. What is right?

they do send green postcards. many people have already received them.

BUUUUUT, heres an email from my regional director dated.. today. lol

"If you have not received a green post card or a phone call from us, you should be fine. Unfortunately not all applications have been collated so we are not 100% sure that we have everybody's complete application. I will promise you this, if we find that something is missing we will call you and let you know so that you can send it to us. If we do call you, don't panic, it won't hurt your chances of getting in, but you will need to send us whatever is missing as soon as humanly possible (most people fax missing paperwork over.) Again, if you have not heard from us, it probably means that we have everything we need and if for any reason we find that anything is missing we will call you or your counselor."

paro thats what i was told too. so mahras, you might get a green card, but unless contacted and told otherwise the app is fine even if you dont.

i personally hate receiving news online (karma) but I have no option in this case because i'm leaving the country on the 15th! AHAHAH

which means I'm busting my butt to complete a million other apps in case ED to Penn doesn't work out...I'll literally be sitting next to my computer with a packed bag on one side and all my other apps in one hand. If I'm in, the apps are going in the trash. If not, I swing by the mailbox, ship 'em, and wait three more miserable months...boo :(

i got a green card saying all my stuff was in...

Am I in trouble if I sent in the confirmation/signature thing not a week after I submitted Part I? I reread the mail talking about the confirmation of Part I and it said that Penn needed the confirmation/signature sheet within the week. I submitted my Part I in 9/30 but I sent in the signature form around 10/20. I am really scared that I will not even be assessed. T_T

thats silly. Everything is filed together. If you really are you freaked out then call the adcom

i got a blue postcard saying that they had received my app, and they also sent me a letter with financial aid info, even tho i had already turned that in.

same here.
