We are done. DONE, I'm almost positive. I believe everything happens for a reason. Ours don't stay the same for no reason, theirs don't change for no reason. Apparently, showing the years is more promising than nothing. I know the admission and financial aid are separated, but some who did not apply to FA also got 2013 or 2014. Using a little bit reasoning then it becomes pretty clear. I know it, you know it, I just spoke out. Don't lie to ourselves anymore. I saw somebody saying that he or she knew somebody applying to UMich which uses the same system as NYU and those whose FA changed either got accepted or differed, and we know who's left, the rejected. I know many, like me, would not be motivated to write essays for other schools until the rejection comes out, but I think we need to start on them right now. If this causes you more stress or depression, please accept my sincere apology, but I think this is for your sake. I wish I'd turn out to be wrong, but

There are also posts that say Albert is unreliable until the admission date. I understand that this is nerve wrecking for you, but it is for everyone else too. You won’t know until Tuesday.

Also, it seems that the majority of NYU ED applicants have had changes on the FA info page and a minority has not. Colleges only accept a small percent of applicants. So maybe those who haven’t had changes on the FA page are the ones getting accepted?
This whole situation can be taken multiple ways. Just calm down and wait until Tuesday.

Mine didn’t change yet… Oh well

What do you mean the FA status changed? What did it originally say and what did it changed to?

@thebossofcake For many, it initially says “There is no financial aid information found”, but recently changes to 2013/2014 Aid year unavailable.
@vyperr Yes, it appears that there are more that changed than unchanged, but what if most of the people who get on CC happen to be accepted… The group that gets on CC may not represent the whole pool. It does not make sense at all that Thanks for comforting me anyway.
We will find out on Tuesday, good luck!

ooopps, unfinished. *It does not make sense at all that they give rejected aid year but not the accepted

Don’t stress about it so much, guys. You won’t know your official admission decision before the 18th. It can be just a glitch on albert. Don’t look much into it. I am pretty sure I had my FA info for 2014 from the beginning. It probably doesn’t mean anything, so don’t put yourselves down.

@gaigee I said the thing about umich and I should have been clearer. umich barely ever rejects early applicants (unless they’re like .5 GPA etc). so being deferred is usually considered negative.

I also wanna say, I spoke to someone who applied and was accepted to stern last year and to the best of his memory, his financial aid didn’t change

What do you mean change? From the start mine has said 2013

Besides I dont think its necessary to start a thread like this. Honestly we don’t know anything until Tuesday, we’re all stressed but there’s no need to freak anyone out over YOUR OPINION

for many of us, the financial aid page says “no financial aid information found” and has not changed.

but, like I said, umich uses the same system and showed me “aid year 2014” and I got deferred. so nothing is definitive.

Yeah I think everyone needs to chill the **** out! haha, really it changing means nothing. It could even just be whether or not you recieved money— completely separate from admissions.

Geeze, what obsessive person is even checking the aid thing so often they would notice this?
