Hey, I’m a rising senior from NY wondering my chances at the following colleges:

Wisconsin- Madison
Virginia Tech
Clemson
NC State
Cal Poly
Lafayette
Furman
Binghamton
Albany
Buffalo
Stony Brook
Colorado School of Mines

I want to be an engineer however, I have been advised by my guidance counselor to apply into the math programs because the engineering programs are harder and then I could just transfer into the engineering programs after a semester.
So far I have only taken the SAT once:
670 math
590 CR
680 Writing
Or 1260/1940

I think I can rise that to a 1320/2000 and get a 31 on the ACT in september, but we shall see

My school has a weird GPA system but mine works out to about a 3.3, but here are my letter grades:

8th Grade;
Honors Spanish: B+
Honors Math: B+
Honors Earth Science: B+

9th grade;
English: A
Band: A
Honors Spanish: A
Italian: B+
Honors Math: B+
Honors Bio: B+
Social Studies: A

10th grade;
English: A
Band: A
Honors Spanish: B+
Health: A
Honors Math: B+
Honors Chem: A
Forensics: A+
AP World: A

11th grade;
Honors Precalc: B
AP Stats: B+
AP USH: B+
AP Lang: B+
AP Environmental: A
Honors Spanish: B+

So my gpa was bad in 8th and 11th, but pretty good in 9th and 10th.

I’m taking the most rigorous schedule available next year:
PC Apps
AP Gov
AP Eco
AP Euro
AP Physics B
AP Calc AB
AP Literature
AP Spanish

E/C wise, I do XC/winter track/spring track year round, I’m all-division, all-county, all-conference, conference champion and I qualified for the state and national meet outdoors and helped set three different school records. I’m also a member of the NHS and the another NHS like-club as of 11th grade.

I will probably have average-good recs and a great essay, my GC rec will be very good.

Also white male 120k income if that matters.
