I also posted this on the USC messageboard.
Remember, chris is the one with 'SC as his life-long dream school? He didn’t get in and posted numerous times about appealing, and waiting to see if he could repeal his rejection. I believe he posted his repeal letter on this very board so people could critique it. As a person going to USC this fall, I felt sensitive to him especially. Is he all right? I don’t think he’s posted for about three days now.
Last I read from him (and I’m not joking here) is that he was crying from not getting a USC phone call and said he would kill himself if he didn’t into USC. Now, hopefully, I think he was being overly dramatic and doesn’t really consider doing that. But you know, it still IS an indicator that he’s not doing too hot regardless.
Anyone? Hope he’s heard from USC and is all right.

I was thinking about him too.

Chris05 - hang in there and know that there are people thinking good thoughts for you. If things didn't work out the way you wanted, know you are not alone.

Come on Chris... please answer... hope it turned out all right, or that you'll be encouraged to transfer later on....

Chris? Or anyone who might know or have something positive to say to him, please?

Chris,
You have lots of company, pal. My son isn't going to his dream school either. But things have a way of working out for the best! This whole process is just another bump in the road. I think that I certainly have gotten some good advice from this board, but it tends to make the college choice seem like an all-consuming event. It shouldn't be! Hopefully you have stepped away from the monitor and out into the light of day. Things seem alot better there!
