Hey fairy_dreams

This post is worthy of a thread; a PM would not do it justice.

Hello. How have you been?

haha. Thanks Choco, I’ve been fine :]

I devised this self-punishment plan (taken from CC) where I force myself to sleep at 10:30 every night even if I’m not finished with my homework. So as a consequence, I now procrastinate slightly less, can wake up at 5 without wanting to kill someone, and spend the day less sleep deprived.

Also, today in AP Euro, we talked about philosophers like Nietzsche, Kant, and Freud (made me think of you and your phallic username. haha)

Yes, no one I love to be associated with more than Freud…can’t a banana just be a banana? (he has an UNattributed quote–though it makes sense–where upon someone asking him about smoking cigars representing a psychosexual state or fixation or w/e, he goes “can’t a cigar just be a cigar”).

We talked about philosophers in literature the other day.

Today, I did all my hw in school and actually went to bed last night…

It’s good you don’t want to kill someone—who would be your first choice?

Sleep deprivation…is interesting. I can thrive on it sometimes. I hate sleep though (even though it’s necessary).

Jumping into the conversation, like always I procrastinate my homework until the morning up. Oddly, I was able to randomly wake up at 4:30 without an alarm or anything and thought “composition paper!” and wrote the four page research paper. =P

:open_mouth: CREEP!

We learned about that yesterday!

Chocolatebanana likes you :)

I think that I sleep too much as opposed to too little.

^Lucky.

I sleep too little. >.>

Of course I do. Not trying to hide it.

Solution: Read more. Watch more. Do more. Etc.

The problem is actually getting up to undergo those actions. Prolonging sleep isn’t an ideal resolution. My problem lies in waking up at an earlier time period.

Lol, maybe I should purchase an alarm clock and set it across my room so I have to get up to turn it off.

OH! You sleep in too late. My bad.

ALARMS?!!?!?

Why would you hate sleep? Maybe if you learned how to lucid dream, you might look forward to it more. Of course there’s always the problem that your dreams will be better than reality and you’ll never want to wake up.

I don’t have this problem because I get chased in my dreams. Always. And they’re mostly Jurassic Park themed…

I’m desperately trying to turn lucid because apparently it’s easier when you have bizarre circumstances in your dreams. But I’m backwards  I unconditionally accept the fact that I get chased by dinosaurs, and I’ve only questioned reality in my dreams when I have forgotten my homework.

haha. We were talking about Nietzsche and suddenly everyone got really excited about the concept of nothing really “mattering”. I’m not sure they really grasped his thinking, but it was amusing to see everyone having all these epiphanies.

Gah. You’re so lucky. I did all my busywork in school, but I still have to write three essays :stuck_out_tongue:

Me? I’m usually the first (and only) prospective victim. I don’t hate anyone enough to kill them. haha. Not saying that I hate myself. I would just kill myself metaphorically…

Lol, I don’t even know how she looks like in real life.

Too bad we’re against the rules of making a thread on who we like or else I would’ve started one.

Lol, I love precious sleeptime, but I just can’t get to it early sometimes because of the assignments. :(

Sleeping too much isn’t ideal.

I was just going to ask you if you have had a lucid dream yet. In my dreams there is usually one sole illogical aspect, but I can’t seem to identify that in my state of unconsciousness. Have you tried the clock method?

All hail Superhuman Splonk. :D

Eh, I sleep too much and feel sleep-deprived. Is that bad?

I’m a slow typer :/

Warts, you should get one of those alarm clocks that roll around your room so you have to chase it. If I don’t have an alarm clock, I can sleep up to 10 hours everyday.

Your sense of duty is amazing. I would wake up thinking “composition paper!”, fall back to sleep, dream about writing my paper, and then go to school screwed.

I’ve had around 3. The thing is, I usually become lucid when it’s time for me to wake up. So I’m hovering between the brink of sleep and consciousness anyways. I’ve only had one lucid dream when I was in a state of deep sleep (REM). I think all the others I’ve had are quasi-lucid dreams. I haven’t tried the clock method. Is it the one where your alarm goes off every once in a while? Because after my alarm sounds (and I hit the snooze button), I have my quasi-lucid dreams. I’m sure the clock method would work.

There was a “Who Would You Date?” thread a while ago. It was pretty interesting.

I should consider that.

Try the clock method though. I’m not sure if you saw my previous comment.

They make alarm clocks with legs? o.O

Lol at how you would judge someone based on their appearance, even online. Ironic, that’s all.

Warts—I set up an alarm clock away from me, and three alarms 10 minutes away on my cell phone, which is also away from me—so I am FORCED to get up.

I dislike sleep because it takes away time from when you are awake and actually doing stuff. So I wish to get the minimal amount of sleep needed to function at my highest level…yeah…(like when i sleep, i cant be on CC!)

And @hopefuleagle, i have no idea what she looks like either…(What meadow said)
