Hi guys, I'm a senior in HS considering Civil Engineering next year... however one thing has been bothering me. Is engineering right for me?

I'm not in any AP Physics classes and I'm in a slightly accelerated math course. Will I be really far behind everyone else in college? Will I have to double up on sciences and math to catch up with everyone else?

It had been two years since I had a physics class or a calculus class when I started engineering. I only had non-calculus mechanics and took the AB test in high school. I am doing just fine after two years now in engineering. You'll be fine.

You'll be fine. The highest math class I took before college was pre-calc. Although I did have AP physics and a really good teacher for that class, I didn't take the AP test and I got B+ in my Mechanics class and A- in Electricity&Magnetism.

I'm in agreement with everyone else. The highest math class I had walking out of HS was Honors Pre-calc and had taken Algebra based physics. Having a physics class of some sort in HS will make college physics seem less overwhelming. I still state that my algebra based physics course in HS was harder than my Calculus based physics course I took at my university.
