Hey guys, does this plan sound good?

I am a junior.

Ok, I just took the January 2010 SAT, like many of you have.

My scores for October 2009 were not too great:

CR: 610
Math: 770
Writing: 520 (Eww!)

However, after some 2 weeks of good studying, here are the scores I think I've got from this test:

CR: 680-730
Math: 780-800
Writing: 670-720

Third time's a charm they say. I will definitely take the SAT again, but beyond that, I don't know. I've heard that taking it past a third time looks bad. I am eager to retake the SAT Reasoning test soon, but I may be getting a bit too far ahead of myself. I really don't need to study for the math section at all, save for 2-3 nazi question types... reason I got a 770 last time was a stupid mistake, and depending on if I put the right answer on one free response question, I've gotten a 780 or an 800. Perhaps, if I am in luck, a 790. I do need to revisit studying for the CR and writing sections though; I'm not perfect at it yet.

I also need to take the SAT Subject Tests. I am planning on taking the SAT Math I, Math II, and Physics subject tests.

So, what should my plan of schedule be?

Should I try again early for the SAT Reasoning test around May? I don't want to try on March... not enough preparation time. Or should I wait until October? Or maybe meet in the 'middle' in June? I get out of school June 3rd. I have lots of school in the way, although I'm sure if I do half an SAT practice test every week, I'll have a lot of preparation behind me. When is a good time to do my SAT Subject tests as well? I haven't taken the subject tests yet... but do practice tests really as good as the real thing?

I really don't wish to take my third SAT November or December..., nor would I want to take the SAT subject tests around that time frame.

Here are some proposed schedules I've thought of:

March 13th: No SATs

May 1st: SAT Reasoning #3

June 5th: SAT Subject Tests

October 9th: SAT Reasoning if unhappy, SAT Subject Tests if unhappy

OR

March 13th: SAT Subject Tests (First Taste)

May 1st: SAT Reasoning Test #3

June 5th: SAT Subject Tests (If Unhappy), SAT Reasoning (If Happy w/ Subject Tests, unhappy with Reasoning scores)

October 9th: SAT Subject Tests (If REALLY unhappy with 2nd attempt), SAT Reasoning (Last attempt!)

DISAGREE WITH BOTH! :D

March 13th: Nothing!

May 1st: SAT II since you are studying for APs already

June 5th: SAT I since you have time after APs to study like crazy

October 9th: Re-take SAT IIs if unhappy

Personally I’d wait to take the third reasoning test, until October or so. Gives you more time to study over summer. Definitely take your subject tests in May and/or June.

I agree with HYP regarding the SAT2 test date.
believe it or not, the AP content overlaps with the SAT2 stuff, so it is in your best interest to study them together
as for the reasoning test, whenever you are ready, just make sure u dont score lower the second time around

u cant take SAT subject in march

i would probably go by
MAY SAT 2
Oct SAT 1
Nov either SAT 2 or 1 depending on my low score
Seriously i think u will get a gud score by third time no need to retake
