<p>GUYS, evaluate my chance. I am a Vietnamese applicant and I'm applying under Dartmouth's ED program.
SAT. CR: 610
Math: 780
Writing:620</p>

<p>SAT II: Math IC: 720
Math IIC: 780
US HISTORY:620( on the lower end I know)</p>

<p>Class rank: Top 1%
GPA: 3.8( in my country this is almost impossible to attain)</p>

<p>Academic achievements:
9th grade: 1st and 2nd prize in the English district and city wide competition respectively
10th grade: 3rd prize in the English city wide competition
11th grade: 2nd prize in the 12th grade English competition( I was selected to sit for the exam with seniors)
12th grade: selected into the English national team</p>

<p>Extra curricular activities:
Volunteer at the SOS village for the orphanage children since 10th grade
Volunteer at a peer consulting phone line since 10th grade
Captain of school's basketball team(won 3 consecutive state gold medals)
Member of the soccer team which won silver medal last year
Play clarinet
Director of my school's AEC( Amsterdam English club)
Writes for the TV magazine</p>

Summer 2003: Tutor English for a group of 9th grade students
Summer 2004: Work at OCS, a delivery company
Summer 2005: Intern at the Fulbright School of economics</p>

<p>Additional information about me.
I was nationally voted 2005's Top 20 high school boys of Vietnam.
Im retaking my SAT this november. My CR score is expected to fall in between 650-700.</p>

<p>Dartmouth wants a diverse class, and it can be difficult for a rural school anywhere to attract kids of color. Chinese Americans are over-represented in the Asian-American pool at most schools, but sub-categories of the Asian experience (cambodians, the vietnamese and Hmong students) are fairly rare. My guess is that Dartmouth will snap you up in an instant as an academically sophisticated Asian sub-population.</p>
