<p>I've taken Calc BC (5), Linear Algebra, MV calc, and went through a proofs book with a tutor. Is there anything else ya'll would recommend to study specifically to succeed in these types of classes? (saying these type cause obviously I haven't been admitted yet)</p>

<p>see the thread above re 55. Read anything you can–Arten, Rudin–analysis texts, anything. Paul Salley has a gem of a little book on proof based math that won’t teach you content but is very worth reading. Seriously, you just can’t have enough preparation for 55. That is ok, however, because you will be in the same position as just about everyone else in the course.</p>
<p>Just bank a whole lot of sleep because you won’t be doing much during the year. Almost everyone my S knows including himself does at least one all-nighter a week to complete the problem sets. (one question took him 17 straight hours to complete and write up–oh, and everyone has given up LaTex because it just takes up too much time, and hand writes the proofs instead…)</p>
