and I was wondering if you guys could help me out here. I was wondering if I messed up my freshmen year would I still be able to go straight to a UC or etc. here are my first and 2nd semester grades

1st Sem:
B science honors
A+ health
C+ english
A Band
D geometry
D+ spanish
2nd Sem:
C spanish
B geography
A english
C spanish
A geometry
A tennis

I think these grades are horrible. I'm going to retake the classes I got D's in which means it'll erase the C i got in spanish 2nd semester. I want to know how to raise my gpa next year. I'm taking 2 aps next year and 1 honors classes fyi. oh and did i lose all my chances at a 4 year?

PS: If anyones wondering why i didnt do so well was because i didnt try. it was so stupid of me, but now I know next year i will :]

UC’s look at your sophomore and junior year grades, so this is really no biggie!

a C in English & a D in Spanish & Geometry? really? out of the easiest classes ever?

lol it’s 10th & 11th that count

only my soph and junior years? I heard that even if you dont do so well in freshmen year you should still fix it cause it’ll fix your gpa. or at least raise it

Don’t listen to the pretentious ****s on this website. As long as you show a significant upward grade trend, most UCs would be happy to take you. Your really do need to boost those grades, but the good news is that you’ve got time to do it. Try to get straight As from here on out… it won’t be easy but it’ll make that sub-par freshman year a lot less noticeable.

yeah just work your a$$ off for the next 3 years. i was in the same position as a frosh, now i’m a senior and i still have that mindset…sigh
