Hey guys, mind giving me a chance?

My stats and background info are all here:

<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/624926-sigh-i-said-i-wouldn-t-do-again-but-i-can-t-stay-away-chance-me.html?highlight=sigh%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/624926-sigh-i-said-i-wouldn-t-do-again-but-i-can-t-stay-away-chance-me.html?highlight=sigh</a></p>

Originally, I really wanted to go to JHU only, but the more I researched, the more I also began to love Cornell and I really want to go there too. So could you guys chance me please?

I think you have a very good shot 70% with good essays

i like your chances, especially for Cornell… you look very well-rounded… i agree with the above poster, the essays play a big role in my opinion. good luck with everything!!

Are you an international student. If so and If your not applying for a aid you have a very good shot and if you are applying for aid, a very very slim shot (only 15 or so slots of aid for internationals).

your stats + URM = very high chance in my opinion

Cornell is need blind for intl students. must we go over this again?

regardless, if you are admitted, they will probably not give you the aid you need because you are an intl student. There are only 15-20 scholarships made available to intl students at cornell each year and they are very competitive to get. Good luck getting in, and if you get in, good luck getting aid.

Yah if you are applying for aid your chance is pretty slim, but I think the OP has PR card? I think she is considered in the same pool as U.S. citizens.

Just to make it 100% clear.

Chances to be admitted are based solely upon your application and have nothing to do with your ability to pay

the chances of you actually getting aid if you are not a PR are very slim.

If you are a PR, Congrats, you get the aid you may need if your family is not loaded.

If you are not a PR, there is a very good chance that you may be admitted, but not able to pay, and thus not able to attend. You should definitely apply to colleges you know you can afford.

yeah I have a PR cad so my fin aid is considered the same as for U.S. citizens (thank God).
Thanks guys  You’re really helping to alleviate my fears now. Oh, btw, I applied to CALS since I want to do pre-med.
