hey guys what are my chances?

<p>Hi everyone, I'm a junior attending Lee High School in VA. My grades are alright
average gpa= 3.5
Junior year i got like a 3.7.
SAT score expected to get a 1200+.</p>

<p>I really want to do electrical engineering at VT. Are my chances good?
P.S= i'm taking all regular class except one AP.</p>

<p>if my chances are slim, what other school do you recommend with these grades.</p>

<p>Hey you are applying to the College of Engineering? I am too, except I'm in it for CompSci or CPE. I checked last year's numbers and they were as follows:</p>

<p>Average GPA: 3.88
Middle 50% SAT range: 1230-1390</p>

<p>I would have to say your chances are a little on the low side, especially since you have only taken one AP class. A great SAT score could back it up, but grades and scores are not everything. The upward trend in GPA might help you out though, and any ECs would certainly help you out especially if they pertained to like math or science or whatever.</p>

<p>3.65 w gpa in competitive county (FCPS)
1220 sat
6 ap classes by the time I graduate
legacy
class officer and lots of leadership positions- a lot of ec's
applied business undecided</p>
