Hey, Hey You Chance me for these schools and I might even chance you back!

I am a rising senior this year and want to apply early to the majors colleges I am interested in! so here are my stats

-NC resident
-50% arabic 50% english ( i have a "rare" last name)
-3.43 unweighted GPA ( Ouch! bad sophomore year, made all but 2 A's my freshman and junior year
-28 ACT (took SAT and did way worse on it, but plan to take both again this fall)
-varsity and captain of Track and Cross country at my high school
-part time job since sophomore year
-part of a club that gets young kids interested in distance running (running is a big part of my life!)
-Created and manage a small business
-National Honor Society
-Selected to be an intern for the county I go to school at that maintains and repairs the networks and computers of my high school. Was selected because of my great scores in my technology classes! ( I believe this is my best EC!)
-Foreign Exchange student for half a month in europe
-Parents have some college but never received traditional 4 year degrees (does this make a difference?)

INTENDED SCHOOLS
-UNC ( my first choice but not the hardest to get into on my list)
-Wake Forest
-Villanova
-Boston College
-Boston University
-Syracuse
-U of Miami
-George Washington
-Georgetown(another reach)
-Vanderbilt (my reach)
-NC State (safety i think?)
-I am also interested in some OOS publics, but I have been told since my stats are average and if I couldnt get into UNC i probably wouldnt get any aid even if i got accepted into schools like Clemson, U of Florida, Florida State, and Georgia Tech. Is that true? because I prefer them to some of the schools on my list!
-I am also in the process of applying for ROTC scholarships so if I do get one I will probably look more at the OOS public schools I listed!

Thanks for taking the time to read all this and give me your input. If you provide a link I will gladly check back! Also, would I be able to get good aid at these private schools?

bump bump bump

Vandy and Georgetown will be pretty high reaches with those kind of Academics. Wake Forest, UNC, and Boston College are still pretty fair reaches with those academics, but easier. The rest should be fine though.

-UNC - reach
-Wake Forest- reach
-Villanova-match
-Boston College-reach
-Boston University - high/mid match
-Syracuse-reach
-U of Miami-match
-GW -low reach/high match
-Georgetown -high reach
-Vanderbilt - mid reach
-NC State - in (could be safety)

The small business thing sounds good. The stats seem to be your weak point, with strong ECs. Try and improve the scores on the ACTs/SATs and you should be all set.

I agree more or less with what has been said above with regards to your chances for each specific school. Really study and aim for about a 31 and 2100, and you should be in much better shape. Really highlight that small business in your application/essays, as that demonstrates a lot of initiative. Unfortunately, I don’t believe your parents’ limited education provides you with a hook.
