^ Because people are more likely to continue with the religion they were brought up with - therefore most Christian-Americans will still consider themselves Christians are adults. Sure, many change/abandon their religion, but that’s not the majority…but we both know that’s pretty obvious and common sense, but I get you were playing devil’s advocate. :)

I asked because I wasn’t raised in a christian household, yet my parents told me the santa myth - i wanted to know if others’ parents did as well. just curiousity, really.

d) None of the above - be specific!

We aren’t religious but we still celebrate Christmas with the decorations, grandma’s house for dinner, and all the rest. I just never grew up with religion in my life but it’s no biggie. Easter is a favorite too :p.

^ Even though Hanukah rules

I enjoy christmas gift exchange with my buds

“Well, if you don’t believe in Santa, he won’t come to the house and leave you presents…wink”.

Translation: We both know that he’s not real, but unless you want to stop getting stuff, you’ll play along.

my parents never really played along with the whole santa thing, even tho i always got presents on christmas. but i guess i always knew he wasn’t real. [i mean, a fat guy fitting down a chimney…come on now, i was a smart kid :)] plus, my dad told me straight up early on that ‘santa’ was actually modeled after father noel of present-day turkey, which was a pride thing since we’re turkish :D
