I wrote about the Korean split and umm.. well, personally tied into it. You know, North Korea with the nukes and all. :/.. South Korea's political ****hole..

Does anyone know if it is possible to switch major into SFS from another one of the schools at Georgetown?

Wrote about conflict Cuba-USA. Rejected though

jman... I heard it's possible although sometimes hard to do.

I wrote about the need for free democracy and transparency in Russia, typified by the questionable detention, arrest, and subsequent trial of Mikhail Khordokorvsky. I was wait-listed.

PS: Has anybody else heard of kids being wait-listed to SFS. I am not hearing of many, so hopefully that's good for me.

My friend was waitlisted at SFS, so yes.

I wrote about practically the same thing as bluirinka. I saw the issue as being with people who refuse to consider the point-of-view of the opposing side: rabid nationalists, fundamentalists, stuff like that - sort of came at it from a philisophical angle. It seemed to have worked for me, cuz unless Fordham can show me something really impressive, I'll be in DC next fall. SFS - it just sounds good saying it.

well what were your stats? Sat and stuff, GT is really into stats

Are you asking me? 1480 SAT's, 800, 760, 730 SAT II's, 2 5's on APs, top 4% in a very competitive class and school district. I wound up with a 99.2 weighted avg, and around a 93.5 unweighted.

Gtown more specifically SFS are my dream schools, but I know it's very competitive and I know that sometimes it can just be a crapshoot, so if I wind up getting rejected off the wait-list at Gtown and go to Cornell I won't be too disappointed.
