I won’t be home at 4…and I won’t get home till late tonight, so I’ll be far behind the rest of you if decisions are today. Fingers crossed they are, because the wait has been so long and another day is just too much to ask of us </p>

<p>Ah,in China,the system is quite different~We write up our “wish schools” couple of months before Gaokao(National College Entrance Exam–not compulsory ,tho),then we take that test in June.Then there will be complicated coordination among the scorelines, the order of those “wish schools” and school requirements.But recent years have seen pre-exam selecting tests/interviews/meetings/what-similar,so people can get some guarantee by showing their achievement during such fairs. Although our education system has been complained for its “too much emphasis on that one single exam”,I now realize there is one easy part about getting into a good college in China: you don’t need to write any essay except for the one single piece required in the Chinese test during Gaokao. So generally speaking,we don’t do applications for Chinese colleges,I guess. :p</p>
