I attend a community college in New york; I have completed 45 credit hours with a cumulative gpa of 3.54. I want to major in philosophy--as I feel this will be facilitative in preparing me for law school.

I really want to go to a large and reputable university.

What are some colleges that I have a reasonable chance of being admitted to?

I would LOVE to go to the University of Florida! Is this out of my reach?

--I didnt afford my hs information because by the time I transfer I will have over 60 credits.

Thanks in advance!!

Philosophy - Notre Dame... not so much large only 8000 ish students but very very reputable in respects as compares to Ivies in many areas - if cost isnt an issue go for it... idk where else philosophy is offered which is very respected... for law school- okay, sounds like a good basis, what else are you taking minor/major - i am intending to go to law school also - yale harvard nd um etc - but i am Econ, Polisci, busi, biochem - from what i have been told from three family members which are lawyers is they want a very diverse candidate - now maybe you know this but just something to also think about.

well I know NYU has a top notch philosophy program, but it would be a reach, as is Notre Dame. Not that it should stop you from applying if you're interested. I think you can get into U. Florida, it's not out of reach.

You definitely can get into University of Florida, apply and make it happen

thanks everyone! anyone else have any input???
