What is your class rank? I couldn’t find any average GPAs for these schools on their websites; they only posted class rank and test scores on their freshman profile.

@QuiteAverage90 my school does not rank students. Received “highest honors” all 3 years though

The schools you apply to will recalculate your GPA based on their formula.

Your test scores are really good. Probably the 75% for most of those schools

However…

Your GPA is Weighted and a 3.93 weighted is not spectacular. (Although you did show improvement)

Your ECs are probably good enough (2 Varsity sports and a few sciency stuff)

Boston College: Match
Tufts: High Match
Vanderbilt: Low Reach
NYU: High Match
John Hopkins: Low Reach

@Klee16 Thanks! Really appreciate that. Yeah, my grades freshman/soph year weren’t good. I didn’t put the effort I should have. Junior year I feel I got my act together and I hope my grades that year and test scores (which I took all Junior year) reflected that.

I don’t really have any reason for that though, do you think there’s a way to incorporate that into my essay?

Your counselor will definitely write that in her recommendation. If you write it in your essay, it feels like you’re making an excuse. They want to know who you are, as a person, not as a person making excuses.
