Hey, y'all, chances please!

okay, i'm a junior right now at the most competitive high school in RI. I have a 3.9 GPA and am hoping to apply to Barnard ED next year. So far on my practice tests I've been scoring around M: 650 CR:750 W:700, but I'm taking a course at the moment so those will improve by the time I actually take the test. My school doesn't weight honors or AP courses and they don't rank either.

Thank you in advance and I forgot to mention the other schools I want to apply to.

Claremont McKenna
University of Miami
Smith
Scripps
NYU

And I want to be a lawyer or a film critic when I graduate. Well, obviously I can't be a lawyer RIGHT after I graduate, but you know what I mean.

Sarah, I think you would have excellent chances at Smith and Miami if your gpa ends up being in the area it is now and if your practice scores are similar to what you have now. Maybe NYU. CMC is a reach and I don't know anything about Scripps.

Smith is a very good option – look into Wellesley and lots of other all-female schools, because they're just as good as the co-ed schools (probably a lot better, in many cases), but boast higher acceptance rates (eg. Wellesley has a 70% ED acceptance rate), partially because they're so self selecting.

thank you both sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!
