HEY YOU! Yeah you! Come read this, please!

LOL, thanks for reading despite my tres gauche title...

So, I have a 2140, superscore on the SAT. I got a 650 in Math, 690 in Writing and 800 in CR. I'm obviously a specialty student-- English is my thing. I'm taking my SAT IIs in December: Lit and WH. I've taken both AP Lang an AP Lit, on in tenth grade and one in eleventh. I earned a 3 and a 5, respectively. I also got a 5 in AP Psychology. I'm taking 3 APs this coming year-- Calculus AB, Comparative Government and World History.

I am also enrolled in an online Harvard Extension school course for UG credit, ENGL-214. I'm pretty sure I'll pass it. I am president of my school's National Honor Society and director of operations to one of the local charity organizations started by my friend. I also am founder of an equestrian horse back riding therapy thing at my school, for special needs kids. I ride professionally-- have been for 7 years. I play piano and guitar; I'm certified by ABRSM for piano. I recently went on a service trip to Tanzania. I run my own blog.

I also speak five languages: Urdu, English, Kashmiri, Arabic, and French. I'm of Kashmiri descent.

My weighted GPA is only a 4.09 but my unweighted is a 3.92-3.95 (depends on the rest of this year...).

I'm an international student though at the end of the day and it is harder for us to get in...my first choice right now is Princeton but it could change. Do you think I could get into any of the Ivies?

You certainly can but the chances are low
id say HYP are Reaches
Cornell is a low reach.
Whether you can get in will depend on your essays, make sure they are amazing

Mashallah yaar tum ne to bare ache activities shuru kiye! Kya Pakistan me par rehi ho?

Lol I’m also a senior in high school now, and I’m applying to the ivies as well, but really, It’s very tough to get into to the top ones, no matter how good anyone is. It’s all a matter of them truly liking you and thinking that you’ll benefit the school and others after you graduate. After all, there are over 25,000 students applying for 2,000 positions. Nonetheless, I wish you the best of luck and hope you fulfill your dreams!
Btw mere amma aur abba Abbotabad se hei. Hum Pakistan ate jaate hai. Kabi milte hai  lol

Sorry, I’m actually not Pakistani…if I HAD to identify with India/Pakistan (personally, I identify as just Kashmiri…) I would actually probably be Indian. :stuck_out_tongue: But thanks for your reply!

Hey, another Kashmiri! My parents are from there, though I’m a US citizen.

Anyways, ECs are good, grades are good.

SATs are decent, but here’s the thing: if you’re a specialty student, which it appears you are, then your Writing score shouldn’t be that low. Writing and reading are generally correlated and a significant disparity indicates that while you may be good at comprehension, you may struggle with synthesis. Synthesis is a huge part of college level work.

Applying early might have helped you if you did so.

The international pool, as you know, is extremely competitive and chances are low. You do present an interesting story though, and a unique perspective that could be intriguing to adcoms.

Apply to Princeton, but make sure to keep several backups if you really want to study in the US.
