Hi, a question about CUNY transfer

I applied for Hunter, Queens, and Baruch for fall 2013, but unfortunately I got rejected from all three. I planned to major Italian.

I’ve been attending one community college in Maryland, and I have 3.4 gpa.

Actually I should’ve completed my college-level math and english classes before submitting my application, but this spring semester 2013 I completed English class, and this summer session I will be taking maths…

Do you think I got rejected because of this, or because my gpa is too low to apply for those three? I really wanted to get in to Hunter College.

Do you think if I appeal after my summer grade, they will let me in?

I suspect your rejection has more to do with the fact that within the CUNY system there are several large community colleges feeding the likes of Hunter, City College, Brooklyn College, etc. Add to that an ever-increasing number of applicants. I would contact the schools and ask them to discuss why you were rejected. Your GPA doesn’t sound at all low for those schools, though. Best of luck.

Thank you so much for your advice!! :-))))))
