I have been reading these forums awhile now. I have a question so I made an account.
I have a 4.0 UW GPA right now, but I might get a B in one of my classes. I am worried that an UW GPA of 3.9 might hinder my chances a little bit. Can anyone elaborate on how much it will hurt me?

Well, according to CollegeBoard’s current stats on Princeton, 81% of the most recently accepted students had 3.75+ for an unweighted GPA, 11% had between 3.5 and 3.74, 6% had between 3.25 and 3.49, and 2% had between 3.0 and 3.24.

I want to say the average is actually somewhere around 3.8, but I can’t recall where I found that stat, so it may be unreliable.

Anyway, I personally don’t think it’ll hurt your chances much at all. The other factors of your application are much more important than getting one B.

Okay, instead of making a new thread, I am going to update this one.
-My father went to Princeton, and I also plan on applying ED. How much will this boost me, and in what ways?
