Hi all, can you guys tell me if this is a good amount of APs to take by the end of...

senior year

Ok in sophomore year, I took 1 AP, and 2 honors
Junior Year (this year): I have taken 3 APs
Senior Year: I will have 2 APs and 1 honors

Ok so, our school did not have a lot of available APs...but they added like a humongo list for next year

So basically, I will have taken 6 APs and 3 honors courses by the end of my high school career. For sophomore year, only 1 AP was available. This year (junior), 5 were available but I took 3 out of 5. Next year, they have added like 9 more, so by next year, there will be a total of 15 APs available to my school.

I will have taken 6 out of 15...which frankly, isn't fair considering they didn't add these my junior year (now)..and I don't want to overload myself with college aps and tons of APs..so what should I do? Is that amount of APs good enough?

There is no threshold of what is enough. However, many of those accepted to top schools have more APs than that. With that said, many have fewer.

oh man…ok so what should I do? add more APs?

my schedule is pretty full…and econ and gov are like 1 year each so i couldn’t fit econ into my sched argh

Have your counselor write a not explaining they added a lot of APs, because the 4/6 is a lot stronger than 6/15.

That’s pretty good IMO. I only took 4 (out of like 10) and I got accepted to a lot of great places

Yeah, the ratio of how many you take compared to how many are offered is more important. My school offers a ridiculous amount of AP’s (almost all of them) so even an average student in my school will graduate with 2-4 AP’s.
