<p>Hi everyone, I'm a bit of a latecomer, as my guidance counselor answered one of my questions with a page from this forum, and that spurred my decision to join.</p>

Royal Canadian Army Cadets, this being my 5th year, recently promoted to Warrant Officer. I was awarded with the Top NSCE distinction (NSCE is the national examination run by the Department of Defense that qualifies a cadet to be promoted above Sergeant) in Central Ontario Region. I teach two classes every Tuesday night (Cadet parade night) for which I spend approximately an hour preparing per class. Currently I command a platoon of 20~ cadets, for whom I am responsible for through my Sergeants. I am also expected to perform public duties such as Cenotaph Guard for Remembrance Day. Finally, I attended Basic Training and Cadet Leader Training over the summer at Canadian Forces Base Borden.</p>
<p>Scholarship trip to Germany over the summer, with the Goethe-Institut's PASCH program. Stayed in Berlin for 3 weeks learning German, also met and spoke with the German consul general in Canada (in German!) as a participant in the first PASCH scholarship.</p>
<p>Placed in the top 5th percentile in the Waterloo Avogadro Chemistry competition.</p>
<p>Peer tutoring (11 and 12), in math, chemistry, and biology</p>
<p>Was an Undersecretary-General in charge of the flagship committee at ACMUN (Appleby College MUN conference).</p>
<p>Summer job last summer, worked in a deli.</p>
<p>I used to go to Appleby College (Ontario prep school) but due to costs had to switch to a public school for my final year. Thoughts?</p>
