Hi, I'm a sophomore this year, a to-be graduate of 2014.
I've been very worried recently because I've been browsing around CC and I've seen lots of wonderful stats.... that have been rejected. I've been putting off this topic for awhile because I'm just afraid to face my fears (of having a very average shot), but I would really appreciate any insight and comments. Thank you!

Thank you!
Any help would be appreciated.

heading in the right direction for what? college? ivy league? what!?!?!

If you mean heading in the direction to a prestigious college, I would say you should start taking more rigorous classes. Take AP Bio instead of anatomy, because anatomy is covered in AP Bio. Also I’d take as many other honors/AP classes that you can. Does your school offer pre-calc? Maybe you should consider taking that instead of math analysis. Also, what is your reason for dropping Spanish?

Get that GPA up and increase course rigor.

Just wanted to give a status update.
(Note: I ended up taking AP Environmental Science instead of Anatomy for its AP, but didn’t do so well in it. Also kept Spanish 2. I ended up with 3 C’s, counted by semester, for all 4 years and that really killed it for me.)

Came out with a 3.71 in the first semester of my junior year, and 3.57 for the next. (weighted)
Scored a 2030 on my SAT, and 30 for my ACT.
Had a bunch of leadership in creating the badminton team in my school, along with being the #1 female in the league.
Also cited a job/internship that lasted for couple of years.
And this is actually a factor: I’m a Chinese female. And my major is in business— business admin. However, for the three UCs, I chose to try to get in for Asian studies (also because UCSB only has economics as a major too.)

Here are my college results for those that are interested:
