Hi! Any transfer students applying for Spring 2015?

I am! Is anyone else?

Looks like I’m the only one! LOL!

Yes ! Hi, I also applied for spring 2015. When did you submit your application?

11:30 pm October 1st! :)

My status says “Scheduled for Decision”.

Mine says the same thing and I applied 6 weeks ago, Sept 7th.

What college did you apply to?

The Poole College of Management for Business Administration. Which college did you apply to?

Same here, Poole college of management for accounting

:)

What’s your stats?

I have an Associates of Arts degree in Business from Cape Fear Community College and I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

What school are you transferring from?

Cool. I’ll be getting my associates of arts from Wake Tech in December

That’s great! If I get accepted, it will be a big change moving form Wilmington to Raleigh. I may take online classes in the spring through NC State’s Distance Learning program. I just can’t imagine registering for classes, finding a place to live, and moving during the month of December!

Yeah doing all that sounds stressful. I hate that decisions are made like a month before school start. However, maybe if you look at the ncsu apartments, you might get one there easier than other places.

That’s true! Thank you! I’m working full time and taking 7 credits at Cape Fear at night. The classes don’t end until December 15th. I will definitely look at apartments during the spring and also houses with other students that are looking for a roommate.

Yeah, good luck.
Have you applied to other schools, you know, for backup?

Yes, I have applied to UNC-Charlotte. I was admitted to UNC-Wilmington last year, but I decided to stay at Cape Fear and finish my AA degree in business. I feel the Charlotte and Raleigh areas will have more internships and jobs available. Wilmington is really a tourist and retirement area. Lots of hotels and restaurants, but no real business opportunities unless you want to work in a hotel or restaurant. :)
