Hi, Chances to get into these schools?

<p>Hi, im currently a senior at a california public highschool. i was wondering the chances of me attending the following schools. Thanks a bunch!</p>

Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
UNLV</p>

<p>GPA, Unweighted 3.5 weighted 3.71 <<<<< so embarrasing did really bad Fresh, Soph year.
SAT , 2010
SAT 2, 730 US history, 700 Math, 800 Chinese
APs, US History 5, World History 5, Psychology 5.
Taking 5 AP classes this year

<p>Damn, only if i tried harder in High School during my fresh and soph year, hopefully i'll get in a good college and start my life over.</p>

<p>I don’t have any answers for you yet. I believe that freshman grades don’t count for UC admissions and there is a specific way to calculate a UC admissions GPA (which I can’t find right now). Do you need FA?</p>

<p>Thanks for the Reply Erin, but does FA stand for Finanical Aid?, if so yes. i heard it lowers ur chances of getting in?</p>

<p>You should apply to all UC’s if you’re from CA. :)</p>

<p>My son is a good student ( B+) with a mix of regular and honor classes, but has a very hard time with Spanish /foreign language. So far, he has Spanish 1 fresh year and Spanish 2 soph year. Is 2 years enough?? I am concerned if he takes Spanish 3 his junior year he might get a C. Should he stop taking language his junior year? Should he try Latin 1 his senior year??? ADVICE needed</p>
