hi guys im currently attending michigan state university and i am doing hospitality management...
by next year i would like to transfer to cornell.
what are the accomplishments i need to do before I can have a
good chance of going there?
and many people say its good to transfer junior year or something?
i dont know much really...
oh yeah do i not have much of a chance if my courses are too easy?
im just taking my classes according to my hospiality business curriculum.
I really want to go to Cornell, please help me.
thanks!

what are your college grades/high school rank-gpa/sat's--- you will need to be comparable or better than the regular admits....

high school gpa was about a 3.5 or so up to junior year..and then senior
year i dropped a LOT...i didnt calculate it ever so im not too sure..
SAT I: 2000
my goal for fall semester and spring semester is a 4.0...
although many may be doubtful...say i got a gpa of 4.0..
i also had an internship at the ritz carlton last year..and worked at pf changs (restaurant). this summer i think i am also going to get another internship at at a hotel or this famous resort ( do not remember where).

by when do i need to send all my applications and stuff in for fall semester 07 and what else would boost my chances? i know my high scool gpa was not great but im prepared to make up for it.
thanks!

Well ur work experience sure is good

I'm curious as to why so many cc posters come to MSU with the intention to transfer? MSU's hotel program is rated as equal as Cornell's -- and by far, those 2 are head 'n shoulders above the rest. So why leave? And why do so many cc'ers, in their minds, 'settle' for MSU while plotting to transfer elsewhere... I'm not attacking, I'm just curious.

Probably cuz Cornell is the tippity top for Hotel and some people are just determined to get to it. (Although MSU is also good).

edit: When I looked up Michigan State University on collegeboard (so probably a little outdated) the stats for the middle 50% of students were 1010-1270 so there is a noticeable difference (so the poster might want a little more of a competative environment)...although I'm not sure what rank it's hotel school is at.

will the difficulty of my classes be a huge deal?
also when do i send my application in if i am trying to fall 07? thanks

sorry for the double post but i am currently taking 15 credits fall semester and 13 for my spring...is that way too easy for them to consider me?
i just wanted five classes my fall and five my spring but if its not enough..
please assist me guys! thanks
