Hey guys!
I'm new here and it's my first time posting.
I was wondering, and I'm only a Freshman right now (about to be a Sophomore) if I was on track with my academics and ec's and stuff, since I want to go to Stanford, MIT, Ivy Leagues, etc.
So, here we go:
I am an Asian Male (would this hurt or help my chances? since i know college want minorities so they can be diverse, but asians do afterall score higher on standardized tests statistically speaking...i think)
I go to City Honors, a magnet school. Also ranked by Newsweek as the top 8th high school in that nation.
Grades so far: I have gotten 3 report cards so far (waiting for the fourth)
and i got straight a's the first term, 7 a's and a B+ the second, and 5 a's and 3 b's third. I was going down but i tried harder 4th term and think i might get straight a's again.
Extracurriculars:
Soccer team, Track team, multi cultural club.
Next year i also plan on joining the swim team, jazz band, math league, maybe ski club.
Also, would any working experience help?
Like even if I was just a carrier for a local newspaper company?
During Sophomore year I will take 2 AP classes (AP at my school is mandatory)
and I plan on going full IB during my Junior and Senior year, meaning all IB classes.
Also, my school runs from grades 5-12.
I came here in 9th grade, and their curriculum runs at an "accelerated" level, meaning everyone takes a higher level class than they're supposed to i.e. Earth Science in 8th grade, Geometry freshman year, etc.
Since I came here this year, I was behind in foreign language, and i had to drop from level 2 to level 1.
Will colleges see this?
and if so, will it hurt me?
I plan on doing volunteer work after sophomore year.
Also, I tried to figure out my GPA by myself, and I figured it's around a 3.8. (not sure though)
Please tell me if I'm on the right track or not, and if not, please tell me what else i can do
thanks for reading :)

you might want to organize your future post a little better. It's easier on the eyes, and thus, guaranteed to get more responses. I didn't even read your post because it's so unorganized. try spacing stuff out, and be as concise as possible. good luck getting some responses:)

umm thanks
it is my first time posting, so i'll go edit it.

most people will tell you to come back in a year or so.

here's the general advice: get straight As. go into ECs that will get you a leadership position by jr/sr year. find a passion that you can commit to and get awards from
