SATII: Chemistry (790), US History (780), Math II (780)

APs: Chemistry (5), US History (5), Language & Comp (5), Music Theory (4)

I've only taken honors/APs in high school

AP Scholar with Honors

National Merit Semifinalist

GPA: 4.96/5.00 weighted, 3.99/4.00 unweighted (I think?)

ECs: I founded and direct an a cappella group in my area, arranging music and organizing rehearsals, etc.
Have been in school a cappella group for 3 years
Created humor section for school newspaper
Editor-in-Chief of humor section
Run Twitter & Facebook - social media person extraordinaire - for school newspaper
NHS tutoring about 3 hours weekly
Regular NHS duties

I also have been steadily employed since the age of thirteen. Right now I have four jobs:
Editor-in-Chief for Friendship Circle newsletter (it's a nonprofit that deals with children with disabilities. Really, it's a beautiful group and everyone should check it out...)
Sixth-grade Hebrew School teacher
Working in Penn Chemistry lab 12 hours a week - only high schooler in lab and one of two non-grad students in lab
Barista at local coffeeshop
Jewish Education 1 night a week - will be college credits - working for my teacher's certification

I've also worked as a waitress, hostess, cashier, sales associate.

My interview went pretty well; she actually straight-up told me she would recommend me highly. NOT TO BRAG JUST FOR INFO!!!

Both of my father's parents went to Penn, and my father went there for med school - which would make me a 3rd generation legacy.

I work in a lab at Penn right now and also was enrolled in classes as an undergrad this summer (3.70 GPA). I also was part of the material sciences lab program.

What do y'all think? Please aid; this is nerve-wracking!

I think you have a good chance, you have strong scores/grades and ECs.

Also yay, a fellow Friendship Circle volunteer!

You are a very strong candidate. It’s the essays that will determine if you are admitted. If you can articulate your views about what you have done and what you want to do at UPenn, it should be a match.

You have an extremely high chance of getting in! Perfect grades in challenging courses, strong commitment to ecs, triple legacy, working at Penn… you shouldn’t be worried at all! Plus, you’re applying ED, so your chances are higher. I don’t think there are any weaknesses in your application at all. Good luck and hopefully you’ll get a great surprise when decisions come out!

On stats alone, i’d say about a 45% chance.

But your amazing extracirriculars and family legacy probably bump that up to 60%.

Good luck, I hope you get in!

Strong chance of admittance

Excellent academic/EC you have an amazing chance

your scores and ECs are very impressive! You’ll most likely get admitted!!

Your stats alone would make you a typical candidate for Penn. Your EC’s and legacy add a lot to your application.

Based on this, I believe you could get in, but then again, it is Penn.

Chance me back! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1420373-chances-harvard-princeton-duke.html

definitely >50%

great all around application
