i'm new on this site and just trying to get a handle on things.

Im a junior in high school and i REALLY want to become a doctor right after high school. But, im not sure if my gpa and other scores are all that great. I have a 3.4 gpa, got a 2100 on the SAT and im taking it again on June 7th.

Do any of u guys have any combined DO programs that u could let me know of that are in line with my credentials??

Im really clueless in some of the requirements and schools and etc.

No medical school or osteopathic school takes anyone straight out of high school. Now, if you're looking for combined BA/MD or BS/MD or accelerated programs, check out previous threads on this topic by using the search tool at the top of the page. And yes, these programs require you to go to college first.

To be honest, unless you come from a competitive school that dishes out brutally challenging courses to its students, your 3.4 is a little bit low (and so is your 2100) for acceptance to MD programs. I'm not so sure about DO programs though. Someone fill in this gap please.

I say apply for one of the lesser known BAMD programs. There are a lot that don't come from very prestigious universities but you will get an MD if thats what you're looking for. Lookt Texas A&M and UMKC. THere are also others just search for a list of BAMD programs online.

As of last year experience, 3.4 from the most competitive school was not enough for even lesser known combined programs. 4.0/ top of class + tons of medical and other EC's and good ACT was not enough for more known programs (like CASE PPSP) but gives you chance at some state schools combined programs. In addition, you have to maintain high GPA to keep your spot in a program. You have to be ready to have higher than 3.4 in college or you will loose your spot.

bump........
