Hi I am new to the ACT..

I want to take the test December 11, but some schools need my scores by January 1. Do you think my scores will be available by than?

You will be able to view your scores in late December as long as you enter all your info correctly. However, I believe it takes a bit longer for them to send the scores. Look through the requirements of the colleges you’re applying to. It should say if they accept the December ACT or not.

It should say this on Collegeboard? Or on their actual websites? The schools I am looking at include CalTech, Stanford, Cornell, MIT, Carnegie Mellon, SUNY Binghamton, SUNY Buffalo, Univ. of Alabama, SUNY Stonybrook, Virginia Tech, & Univ. of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Any look familiar to accepting it?

i believe you need to rush the scores, since it comes out on december 27th…

So I should just have my scores sent straight to them basically?

Each college’s website should state the latest ACT testing date the college will accept. If it doesn’t, call or email the college to make sure.

Also, there is no need to send scores rush (and pay extra money) if the colleges receive scores electronically anyway.

Is this the first standardized test you will have taken?

This is the first ACT.

Your scores should be available by December 27th (or 28th if they release them on a Tuesday again). I would call the college to make sure it would work out.

Alright thanks.
