UCSD-in
U Wash-reach
Rice-reach
Harvard-reach
Princeton-reach
Yale-reach
Carnegie Mellon-in
Amherst-reject
UCD-in

My SAT II US History and Bio 2 were projected. Sorry about the confusion... All of the other stats are real.

your scores are impressive for half the list and pretty standard for the ivys (harvard, yale, princeton)
i guess it can really come down to your essays and recommendations
use this summer well and be passionate about your ec's

got any hooks?

irap, how is he a reject at amhurst and only a reach at Harvard?

When you apply, don't overload on the HYPSM kinds of schools. Choose a few reaches you really want to go to, a bunch of matches you'd like to go to, and a couple of safeties you'd like to go to or wouldn't mind going to. Remember, most of the Ivies and other top schools accept only 10 to 20% of the kids that apply, and most of the kids that apply have stats like yours.

amherst is much more selective, smaller class.
meant reach for the OP because his ec's are weak IMO

TurboPenguin89:

UCB/UCLA: Match
UCSD: Safe Match
UCD: Safety
