Hi, I'm from Canada

Do you think I'd be able to survive in Texas? 'cause I'm definitely not used to the southern climate xD I mean it's pretty cold up here (no, we don't live in igloos.)

How long do you think it will take me to adapt myself to life in Texas?

you will be fine! August and the first part of September will be the hardest part–the humidity can make you sweaty and sticky. But, everyone’s dealing with it, and (except for a few hours during O-Week) it’s not like you’re running around outside all day or anything. Around mid-September or October, the humidity breaks, and it’s absolutely gorgeous. It can get a little chilly in December (low to mid 40s) but probably nothing like you’re used to. It snowed once this year and it was basically a miracle. January-March are cool, brisk, and gorgeous. April and May get a little hotter but the humidity’s not bad at all. Basically, make sure you have enough shorts/short-sleeved shirts and you’ll be fine.

i know plenty of other canadians who endured texas just fine. it’s not as hot as you think (outside of o-week) thanks to 24/7 central air conditioning
