I'm aiming for over a 2000 on my sat. do you guys think i can get into those schools with my sat scores, and a gpa around 3.0-3.5 this coming junior year?

Continue getting A’s like you have been doing (don’t even think about letting your average drop to 3.0) and aim higher on the SATs. Say, 2100, for UCLA and UCB, though a 2000 might be good enough.

He might’ve screwed up in freshman year. I think its way too early to chance now, but you’re on the right track. So far your UC GPA is very good, although you have so many things that aren’t done yet (you can fairly easily drop in junior year). Also, consider diversifying your ECs. Sure the ones you have are good, but try to get some that don’t involve sports. Also, where’s your community service? Awards? Again, a lot of time on your hands, but at least your numbers are holding up.

yeah i messed up pretty bad my freshman year, umm my cummulative gpa is lower cuz of that, i’m gonna join this club at my school called leos and everyone says colleges like that a lot, they do community service and stuff, as of now i dont have any community service and i dont have any awards lol besides top gpa sophomores certificate that the school gave me.

does it help that my school isnt really that competitive? would i have a better chance at getting in because i’m hearing stuff like ucs are required to accept people from every school? something like that

It helps boost your GPA, and UCs honestly don’t care that much about where that GPA is coming from, easy school or hard. It also helps if its one of the worst schools in the state (they get a boost) What you’re referring to is ELC, which guarantees the top 4% of any school’s students a UC, although this translates more or less to a guarantee to midtier UCs and down.
