How I would solve and how I would gain support; need specific evidence.

Ka-boom. Cities are destroyed and populations of millions are annihilated. The atmosphere is filled with black carbon. Earth’s temperature subsides and chemicals progressively consume the ozone layer. Growing seasons are reduced, rainfall declines, and billions of people struggle with the atrocious aftermath- death, illness, and dearth. Nuclear wars after World War II have only been prevented by lack of votes or split decisions, especially during the Cold War. This conception is the driving force for the removal of nuclear weapons.
Even before detonation, nuclear weapons are unstable machinery. At any second, a fuse may be shortened or a miniscule assembly of tense human beings can generate a nuclear war that will impact the Earth and its populace for eons. Yet, the weapons can only be demolished by conversion into energy. The sole hindrance is the high cost of this method and the facilities required. As a result, politicians often oppose obliterating hefty sums of supplies, especially in America and Russia. To sway the politicians, the public must be informed. More often than not, the general public is unaware of hazardous warehouses exist such as in the United States. To enlighten the masses, although there will be much political obstruction, the media must constantly confer the locations, the number, and the fatality of these arms. With a perturbed audience, politicians will lean towards more drastic actions. To allow for a reasonable strategy, the weaponries must be eradicated in segments to make the costs and processes more manageable. Nuclear arms may be costly to dispose of, but nothing can surmount the consequences of their global impact.

Constructive criticism is preferred; be as honest as possible (especially if you have experience with essays).
