Hi! so which ucsd scoring guide is right?

<p>so i was searching hte internet couple days ago and i came across the ucsd scoring guide. i had one bookmarked (the google sheets one) and they looked different… so can someone tell me truth from reality? or are they the same, but with added stuff?/</p>

<p>GOOGLE SHEETS- UCSD SCORING
[ucsd</a> score](<a href=“http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pKB1yD5iQn_8wqH5bhMkhZw]ucsd”>http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pKB1yD5iQn_8wqH5bhMkhZw)</p>

<p>ONE I FOUND (UCSD SCORING GUIDE)
this might look ugly…
GPA x 1000
(New SAT + SATII + SATII) x 0.8
33-39 A-G courses is worth 250pts
40 A-G courses is worth 500pts
ELC worth 300pts
Educational Environment worth 300pts
Parental Income < $60k worth 150pts
under federal TRIO low-income cutoff worth 300pts
Parents: Some college = 150 HS or less = 300
Leadership: 150pts for 2 minor roles, 300pts for a major role (President or VP of class, editor-in-chief, eagle scout, girl scout gold award)
Special talents, achievements, awards : 150 single, 300 multiple
Comm. Server <200 is 150pts, >200 is 300
AVID, EAOP given some points
Single Parent household = 250pts
working 20hrs+ week = 250pts
Life altering event = 500pts
Less severe event = 250pts</p>

<p>oh my income is about 50000… but im not sure … is this income qualifier??</p>

<p>bbbbbbbuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmpppppppppppp</p>

<p>(what does that mean BTW)</p>

<p>I think I read somewhere that the income is $60,000 or less a year for full points. And I believe that those two points calculators are both just estimates of people who know a lot about UC San Diego. I do not believe the exact formula has been announced. So to answer your question, probably neither of those methods is entirely correct.</p>

<p>thanks JeSuis</p>
