Hi!

Hi there!

I'm an international and I'll most probably be starting at UW this autumn as a freshman so I thought I'd check to see how many of you will be attending UW too...

Has everyone here had their Advising/Registration sessions? Mine isn't until a month away and I'm hoping that classes don't fill up by then...are there any internationals here? Did most of you here complete the APs? I did the IB. How about as far as credits go...how many have people roughly earned already?

Okay well if you're reading this and you're going to be a freshman at UW, do drop me a note. Thanks!

Cheers

Maya

Hey I don't really have any great answers but I'd figure I would say hi because I'm a new freshman as well.

I'm from Washington and I had my registration a long time ago but it seems like there are still some good classes avaliable particulary if you wouldn't mind taking a FIG. However I may be wrong because all of the classes I wanted to take don't seem to be in too high of a demand with freshman.

Hi Seaissa

Nice to hear from you. Are you admitted in the college of A&S too? How about your housing assignment...have you received yours yet? It says they'll be mailing them out in mid-August but I figure since I live outside the US mine will take longer to get here. What were your hall preferences? When I signed up, I didn't pay too much attention to the order of my choices cuz they all seemed pretty homogenous to me but now after reading a few threads on here about the difference halls of residence I'm thinking hmm maybe I should have scrutinized the halls more before I applied...but oh well, there's only so much you can tell from reading the descriptions on the website, I guess...

Yes I was admitted to A&S. I got my housing assignment last Thursday (but I live 40 min from the campus). So I would expect yours to be coming soon. I didn't pay too much attention to where they put me either, and I ended up in Lander (798). My parents took me down to look them and the eating places look nice but the dorms just look like your typical dorm (this is without actually going in them though). I can't believe school starts in a month.

Oh cool...well my accommodation is still taking a while. So what courses are you taking this quarter? And major? Actually a lot of my other friends have already started school - I guess UW is one of the late starters...anyhow, I can't wait =)...

I'm taking a FIG that has Greek and Roman Lit and French 101 in it. Plus I'm taking a class on the Planets. I'm not really sure what I want to major in but I was thinking something like European Studies or Law and Justice... or maybe a mixture of the two. I just want to explore my options. What about yourself?
