Hidden Transfer Requirements for UCI??

I was just reading through Irvine's website and under "Selection Criteria" for transfer students it says that fall quarter applicants must have one english and one transferrable math completed by the end of SUMMER 2011. This wasn't for TAG or anything special- just undergraduate transfer admissions. Why have I never heard of this before? Have I somehow managed to misread or misinterpret this, and does anyone know if this is true of all UC schools?? I feel like I would have a good chance of being admitted apart for the fact that I'm currently taking my second english and math class... If anyone has any insight I really appreciate it!

Hrm, this is the first i’ve heard of that as well. I really don’t know what to say about it. However, i’m currently taking my math course and they asked what grade i had in it not long ago. I wouldn’t think they’d ask me that if it was supposed to be done by summer 2011… but again, i really don’t know

I think maybe what you’re reading is from last year? This link states that they need to be done by the spring before enrolling at UCI [Admission Requirements](http://www.admissions.uci.edu/admissions/admission_requirements.html#transfer)

“completion of required English composition and mathematics courses by the end of the spring term preceding enrollment at UC Irvine”

[Transfer Admission, Selection and Preparation](<a href=“Academic Resources | Office of Undergraduate Admissions | UCI”>Academic Resources | Office of Undergraduate Admissions | UCI)

this is seriously not the time to be making large errors like this…thank you Citiz and Colors for clearing that up

Thanks, I’m not sure why that one page says summer, because “by the end of spring” is what I have read everywhere else… but it’s a legit UCI website “2011/2012 General Catalogue.” But I guess I’m safe to disregard this, since there seems to be more evidence to support the “end of spring” theory- thanks guys
