I understand that colleges assure you that they only consider your top score. I was sick (just the flu) and scored 2020 on my SAT. When I was feeling well a few months later I scored 34 on my ACT. I also have 800 MATH IIC, 800 Biology, and 740 Physics. Although they say that they only consider your highest score, will they look down upon such a low SAT score. Should I take it again since it would be so easy to boost?

i'd like to know this too, because i scored a little lower on the SAT and got a high ACT and SAT II's as well

Just submit it because of you impressive SATII scores. When did you take the SAT?

If it's going to eat at you, then retake it. Otherwise, I honestly wouldn't worry. The 34 ACT trumps it and your SAT II scores are great.

For anyone else wondering I did a little reading and most colleges put a note on the top of your file with your GPA and highest scores, etc to determine your academic index, or however they rate. Basically, colleges truly only consider your highest due to the massive amounts of applications that they go through, it's only practical that way to keep the standard.

sounds good, thanks 1MX
