How do colleges look at a student with

36 ACT (36 M, 36 S, 35 R, 35 E)

but a 2150 SAT (800 M, 700 CR, 650 W) (little to no prep at a high school in the south that stresses the ACT over the SAT).

which score will they trust?

send both if you want, your ACT score will get you into almost all, if not completely all, of the colleges you apply to. Your SAT score is not bad by any means, an average score for Ivy league schools. Although it won't hurt you to send one or the other...but remember, some schools look for SAT IIs.

shobhit
im pretty sure u meant to say that a 36 is an incredible score for any school
cause it's not liek someone with a 36 can go to harvard if they dont have amazingly great grades, and perfect ec's and recs' and essays

yea my SATIIs are solid with 800 mathII 800 bio e but 740 chem 730 u****ory and 720 physics but i applied to mit ea so who knows.

From what i've heard, schools look at the highest schor you get (weather it's the ACT or the SAT.) Plus, if you're applying to MIT they'll be wowed by your prefect scores in math that they won't even be bothered by lower (yet still very good) scores in CR and W.
