What if I scored a 29 ACT (95th percentile) math but a 620 Math IIC (~40ish percentile...)? Will this significantly affect me?

The subjects covered are essentially the same as ACT goes into pre-calc, statistics, etc. as does Math IIC.

those are pretty equal scores. but you don't have to send both. you're right to think the 29 looks better than the 620, even though they are probably at the same level.

mine is 34 math, 660math 2c. haha

620 on MathII is much better than 29 on ACT Math. MathII is much higher, more complicated math.

Nope...it should not affect you much...

But for my reach schools (Carnegie, UCB, UCLA), I don't think the 620 Math IIC is high enough especially for Carnegie Comp Sci.

ACT math is arithmetic.

SAT II Math IIC is precal level.

It will definitely hurt. Nice to be able to do arithmetic but you are gonna need to know precal well for schools like carnegie mellon.

No offense, but 29 is not "high math score" for the schools you're applying to.

At first I was gonna say that's alright, but not for the schools that you listed.

How much would those test scores affect me if everything else is good though? (Specifically want to know about Carnegie, because I know my GPA is in their range, my EC's are good, etc.)

Well, I would say a lot in all honesty. Of course I don't know exactly, but I'm just assuming because that's what CMU is known for: math/science/technology.

mine were

33 ACT Math
680 SAT I
550 SAT II 2C

are they consistent ? :)

What are the mandatory subject areas on the SAT I?
