High finance as an international

I'm an international who's interested in working in finance preferably IB, HF and PE.
I'm intending to apply to several top schools in the US like Darthmouth, Yale and Stanford.

Attending a top school is from what I've understood pretty much a prerequisite for getting a job in high finance. Let's assume i get into on of these "target-schools" and do well academicly and get solid EC's.

My first question is: Is it possible to find internships with a student visa since you're pretty screwed when it comes to finding actual work unless you've had an internship?

My second question is pretty similar to my first: Is it likely for me to get any form of work visa after I recieve my bachelors degree and are US banks/companies at all interested in hiring internationals? Would it be possible for me to get my degree in the US and then start searching for work in London since im European and visa stuff wont be an issue there?

First of all, know that an undergraduate business degree will virtually be worthless if you want to be an international student looking for work in the ultra competitive field of finance. So you would need a high powered MBA to even get looked at.It’s however not impossible. Some internationals do get hired by top firms as an international student, even with just an econ degree from a lesser known school.International students do get work at Goldman Sachs,JP Morgan Chase etc.Again, ultra competitive, and the quantity of this work may be regional, which might mean relocating to a part of the US you may not exactly find desirable.Your ability to network will almost be crucial to your success.Get to know the right people and make the right connections and chances of success may improve. But it’s a shark tank from what I hear.
