I just took the new SAT in March and did horrible for what I was hoping to get. I'm just trying to figure out what my chances might be now. I'm taking the ACT in June and am actually going to study so I think I'll do fine and then I'm taking the SAT again in October before ED applications are due (I'm applying ED). I'd really appreciate it if you'd tell me your thoughts, thanks!

So I'm basically worried about my SAT scores. I've heard that sometimes if your portfolio is really good they will admit you even if your SAT scores aren't as high. I'm planning on retaking them because I'm positive I can do better and I'm hoping to do well on the ACT. I'm working on my portfolio right now and will be filming the piece I want to send to them which I think will help a lot. Anyway, any thoughts we be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

anyone? Please!

you def wanna get your sat up a bit 2000-2100ish, but if you've got talent and a good gpa, tisch is generally the school most likely to overlook sat score. Also tisch film refer students with good portfolios but bad gpa or sat to GSP for a year, so you can get in that way also.

thanks- I'm hoping to really up my score which I think will be possible with studying. Most of the problems I had was just the fact that I couldn't remember how to do it (with math), not that I couldn't. Plus, I've taken practice tests for the ACT and have done really well.

I would NOT recommend going to GSP and then into film. If you want to end up producing a short in advanced production, you have to do all the other required production courses starting from sophmore year. It seems almost impossible to get into an advanced production class without taking five years...if, you're coming from gsp.
