<p>Regardless if his 4.41 UC GPA is unlikely, he's still ELC, and I think he has a great shot at Cal and LA because of that. I've seen more than one person with much lower SAT 1/2s get into LA and Cal. What we tend to hear about these schools is the average, but in all honesty, if everyone scored 700+ to get in, we wouldn't have an average that's still in the mid 600s for Math and such. To say that the lower end is occupied by URMs doesn't nearly account for most of the stellar scores others are getting. If the OP can raise them, it would be great for his other schools. Otherwise, I'd still stand by what I say in that he has a significant chance at getting into the top UCs.</p>
