High grades, low SAT/ACT score

Does anyone else struggle with this? I had a perfect grade in math this year in a pretty fast paced class, then I got a 560/26 as math score. ~X( I've been studying and am going to retake obviously, but I feel like I just generally DON'T test well.

I did bad!!! Scored a 520 on math when I’ve done well all years. Some people just aren’t test takers, luckily I’ve been scoring high on ACT practice tests so there’s hope. I highly recommend using YouTube to study! Search ACT Math Review and look for the ones that are in 4 parts. The man should be writing on a word document. He’s really helped run things through my mind. Good luck!! :D

Math in school and SAT math aren’t the same thing. The techniques and knowledge required for one don’t necessarily translate to the other. SAT is straight logical thinking and meticulousness; things like Algebra 2 and Calculus are either purely formulaic or require more critical thinking.

Same issue with me. Good luck. :(

In some cases it’s just grade inflation.
